John Taussig John is a 20 year Paramedic and Flight Paramedic, Executive Director BMG, and has extensive cruising experience Alaska to Panama and the Caribbean.
Ward Naviaux Ward is a Board Certified MD with 20 years experience in Emergency Medicine. His sailing resume includes the Double-handed class in the Pac Cup Regatta in 2014 on Blade Runner, two time winner of the Oregon Offshore Race and class wins in Round the County Regatta and Swiftsure. He has also done extensive blue water cruising in Australia and New Zealand on an Ericson 39 prior. Ward is a BYC member.
Dan Ohms Dan is a Bellingham Firefighter Paramedic (retired), a Lummi Island Firefighter and Paramedic Volunteer and a BYC Member.

Randy has been racing since his high school days and has spent his entire career in the boating industry. His rigging knowledge comes primarily from his years as a sales director at Samson Rope Technologies. He has worked closely with some of the highest level riggers and racers in the world on rope construction and fiber technology. He has made three ocean crossings, raced in 5 offshore ocean races as well as numerous regattas, including the Etchells World Championships. His years of racing (including one dismasting) have shown him what works and doesn’t work in standing and running rigging.

Friday, November 13th at 6:30 PM
Bellingham Yacht Club’s Famous “Lighted Boat Parade” will be held on Saturday evening December 5, 2020. The parade will start in Squalicum Harbor at dark and parade past the Boulevard, down to the Bellingham Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven and back again to pass the Bellwether Hotel. All boaters are invited to decorate your boats and join the parade!
This seminar will cover electrical fundamentals such as lights and power; as well as touching on several important safety and operational features. They will also give some hints as to how to decorate your boat.
Members of all boating organizations are welcome.
If you are not a BYC member, please stop at the entrance and sign in as a guest (that’s to keep the Liquor Control Board happy).
