Learn first aid at sea in Bellingham

Washington Sea Grant and the Port of Bellingham are co-sponsoring a Coast Guard-approved first aid at sea course in Bellingham.

Topics include cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, patient assessment, hypothermia, cold- water near-drowning, shock, trauma, burns, fractures, choking, immobilization, first-aid kits and more.

When: Wednesday, April 23, 2013, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Where: Squalicum Boat House, Squalicum Harbor, Bellingham

Fee: $80 ($40 for commercial fishermen). Space is limited, so pre-registration is advised.
