Bellingham Yacht Club

Presents:

Hosted and run by the Bellingham Yacht Club, PITCH entices sailors from Olympia to Canada in boats from Trans PACS 52s to One Design competitors.

Visiting competitors will again be greeted by the welcome boat with a 6 pack.

BYC manages the competition in accordance with PHRF rules and is a Grand Prix qualifying race and 48N Top 25. One of the oldest regattas in the North Sound, PITCH stands for Pacific International Tonnage Championships, predating PHRF and is a member of the North Sound Party Circuit.

Register to participate and enjoy the thrill of racing and fun of the after parties.

In addition to two days of racing, PITCH features a welcoming party and Skippers’ Meeting Friday evening, Saturday evening dinner with live band and a Sunday evening raffle and Awards Ceremony.

• Friday evening - September 1st

  • 1600—Registration packet pick up opens at BYC clubhouse

  • 1700—Free BBQ and beer for skipper and crew by Stones Throw Brewery

  • 1930—Mandatory Skippers’ Meeting

• Saturday - September 2nd

  • 0800—Americas Cup Breakfast/Lunch for purchase

  • 1100—First warning signal

  • 1600—BYC lounge will open. Happy hour (no-host bar) and dinner to follow.

  • Dinner tickets are available for advance purchase at $20 per person. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.

  • Party at the Clubhouse with live band by "Three Radicals Band"

• Sunday- September 2nd

  • 0800—Americas Cup Breakfast/Lunch for purchase

  • 1100—First warning signal

  • 1500—No warning signal shall be made after 1500 hours

  • 1700—Awards *Pasta Dinner for $12

The Kelly O’Neil Cup

• The Kelly O’Neil Cup award for the best overall team of boats from the same participating Yacht Club, was established in 2005, to honor Kelly O’Neil Henson, 1957-2004. A much beloved sailing photographer and boating enthusiast, her boat, “Smile”, was a fixture at local and international sailing events. Her photographs regularly appeared in 48 Degrees North and other sailing publications.
