4th of July Cruise to Garrison Bay on San Juan Island

This is a joint cruise with Wheel and Keel, and is hosted by Pete and Jamie Foti. The anchorage is wonderful, and right next to British Camp and Young Hill, for some history and exploring. The group rafts together in one or more rafts, depending on the number of boats, and the fireworks from Roche harbor are visible over the bit of land between the bay and the harbor.  See all the details below!!

Itinerary

• Arrive Saturday July 1st or whenever you get there
• Saturday & Sunday is shopping, climb Mt Young, or ??
• Monday at 4 pm at Dragons Den
  • “Best Drink Mixing Contest” & Appetizer Party.  Prizes for best ORIGINAL concoction (not out of a bar guide or book), and for BEST PRESENTATION.  Bring enough for everyone to sample.
• Tuesday at 2pm at Dragons Den
  • “Dinghy Decoration Contest”.  Gather at Dragons Den for judging; Prizes for Best Decorated & Most Patriotic, followed by a parade around the bay to show off.
• Tuesday at 6 pm will be a boat-hop potluck dinner.
  • The fireworks will be at dark.  Dinghy to Roche, or just around Bell Point or watch from your boat.
• Wednesday head home – or off on your next adventure!

Look for the 46’ Ponderosa Europa “Dragons Den”.  We’ll be anchored in Garrison Bay. Bring extra fenders and dock lines for rafting.
